Click the "New application" button to send an application URL link to your email. Click on the URL in the email and enter your details and what items you wish to have collected.
To check the contents of your application
Check the contents of your application by clicking the "Check your application" button and entering your email address and application ID number. Your application ID number is listed in your “Application Complete” notification email. You can also access a URL link to this Online Application Center page and login instructions from the same email.
If you have any questions, please contact the Hinode Office (046-823-0868 Japanese only) or the Waste Management Division (046-822-8469 English available). Please note that we cannot reissue or look up your application ID number, so please save your “Application Complete” notification email to access your application history.
To change/cancel your application
You cannot change or cancel your application online. Please call the Hinode Office (046-823-0868 Japanese only) or the Waste Management Division (046-822-8469 English available).
How to Pay
You must pay before your items are collected. You can pay using a credit card, LINE Pay, or auPay, or PayPay. A receipt will not be sent, so please check your account to confirm the payment has been processed.
When applying online, you will be prompted to enter your payment information after you fill out your application information.
You cannot pay by cash. If you wish to pay in cash, you must apply by phone or in person. Please call the Hinode Office (046-823-0868) or the Waste Management Division (046-822-8469 English available). You can also come to the 5th floor of the Bunkan building of City Hall to apply in person.
※Due to the termination of LINEPay services, the use of LINEPay will stop by the end of March 2025.
How to Put Out Your Garbage for Collection
・Please put out the items for collection by 8:00 the morning of the collection day at the location designated in your application.
・You cannot pick a certain time for collection.
・You do not need to be there the morning of collection.
・Collection staff will not enter private property, such as homes or gardens.
・Attach a label to each item to be collected with the 4-digit “reception number” and item name written on it. You can print and fill out labels from the URL in the “Application Complete” notification email OR make your own.
・Only items you applied for collection will be collected. If you have other items you wish to be collected, please apply again, separately.
・When putting out your items for collection, please make sure that they are not blocking traffic or foot traffic. Please also make sure they are arranged in a way that they will not fall, and so that collection staff can collect them without risk of injury.
About Large Garbage (and Non-Compactable Garbage) Collection
What is large garbage?
Large garbage refers to furniture, futons, electric appliances, and playground equipment between 50 cm and 2 m. Only large garbage from households (not businesses) is accepted.
What is non-compactable garbage?
Non-compactable garbage can also be collected for a fee as large garbage. Non-compactable garbage is garbage that cannot be compacted because it is a fire hazard or will damage the compacting machine. This includes items with batteries that cannot be removed, and items that cannot be disposed of using designated collection boxes (found in city hall, administration centers, etc.). Only non-compactable garbage from households (not businesses) is accepted.
Non-compactable garbage that can be collected as large garbage:
・Appliances with rechargeable batteries that cannot be removed, such as personal electric fans, etc.
・Compressors under 50 cm, with tank ok
・Septic tank air blowers
・Submersible pumps whose longest dimension is under 25 cm, not including pumps with plastic exteriors
・Arc welders
・Motors
Fees
4,300 yen for 1 spring mattress
520 yen for any item that is not a spring mattress
Collection
If you apply online, you can select a weekday collection day, from Monday to Friday. If you would like your items to be collected on a Sunday, please call the Hinode Office (046-823-0868) or the Waste Management Division (046-822-8469 English available) to apply. Please note that collection is not available on Saturdays, or from December 31 to January 3.
Collection staff will not enter private property, please put items on the curb, the edge of your property closest to the street, or next to your weekly garbage collection site. Your items will be collected as part of our door-to-door rounds that morning.
